From agriculture to IT might not seem like a logical progression, but for Jeff Reiter, that is exactly the life trajectory he's followed. Like so many successful entrepreneurs before him, the lessons he learned from a young age became the principles he's followed at every juncture of his career. This, coupled with an insatiable thirst for knowledge, propelled him throughout his career.
Growing up in rural Illinois, on the edge of Chicago, Reiter saw hard work and ambition modeled every day. His father's workday started at 4:30 a.m. and didn't end until the work was done. In the spring and fall season, this was past sunset. A fourth-generation livestock farmer, Reiter's father inherited time-tested agricultural traditions. They were sound, but labor intensive.
