Meet The Author
From his early days growing up on a farm near Chicago, founder & CEO of RWK IT Services Jeff Reiter consistently demonstrated a pioneering spirit. This fourth-generation farmer's son saw firsthand the value of hard work and innovation as his father transitioned traditional farming into a more profitable, modernized operation. These formative experiences ingrained a blend of resilience, entrepreneurial acumen, and a forward-thinking mindset in Jeff - a blend that has served him well throughout his career. Jeff 's journey into the tech world began unexpectedly when a relative gifted him a Commodore 64 in the 1980s. Jeff 's insatiable curiosity with this technology sparked the profound realization of his future working with computers. Jeff taught himself to code and quickly became a regular in the Chicago PC Users' Group. His knack for simplifying complex systems through software led him to a pivotal role in a database firm, where he honed his skills as a developer and consultant. In 1998, Jeff leveraged his extensive IT knowledge and his passion for helping others to launch RWK IT Services. The company, which serves small to midsize companies, nonprofits, and government agencies, was born out of his desire to create a work environment filled with skilled, like-minded individuals who genuinely care about making a difference. This personal mission propelled RWK from a modest start-up to a robust firm managing IT for over 1,750 clients and providing top-tier cybersecurity for over 3,500 businesses.
